Our Purpose

We understand the great need for Christ-Honoring Churches in our Area.  People continue to come to the West Valley looking for a New Life.  We want the help them “Experience New Beginnings” through the Lord Jesus.  There are Several Statements that make up the Purpose of Desert Hills Baptist Church. 

We want to:

Inspire People to Develop a Heart for God
The main reason we exist as a church is to inspire people to have a heart for God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through Salvation. (Receiving Jesus as Payment for Eternal Life) Another objective we have is to help Christians grow in their Christian lives a process known as Sanctification. (Becoming more like Jesus)  We seek to accomplish this through music that prepares hearts to receive the message of the Bible in Preaching and Teaching.  We also believe that the preaching and teaching of the Bible is essential for heart development to take place.  

Include them in a Loving Church Family
DHBC desires to include every individual in a small group setting in order to build communities throughout our church ministry.  We will accomplish this through our LifeGroup Bible Classes, Sunday school for children, Moms Groups, Men’s Groups, Recovery Groups, Discipleship Groups, and Various Activities.  

Instruct them in the Word of God
We believe that the solutions for the problems of our day rest in the Bible.  We teach and preach so that people may discover victory over the discouragements of life, learn Bible doctrine, understand Christian duty, and comprehend what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.  Various Classes, Services, Conferences, and Studies provide a balanced diet for the believer to grow through God’s Word.  

Involve through Service in Ministry
We desire to help every Christian understand the privilege, and opportunities they have to serve God.  Opportunities abound for evangelism, ministry, community outreach, and service.  

Make an Impact in the West Valley and the Regions Beyond
DHBC desires to share the Message of Jesus Christ with every person possible.  We seek to make an impact by helping people “Experience a New Beginning” through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  We believe Jesus Christ Changes lives, and encourage those who receive that message to share the message with others who will also receive the message.  In turn more lives are changed.  We also desire to be a church that helps other churches to start in the Greater Phoenix area.  We want to be a launching pad for other like-minded churches, Spanish speaking congregations, and Foreign Missions Works.  The Hope for the world is Jesus, and we start by sharing Him with one person at a time.
